Timing

  • Ships by Sep 28. Orders leave the warehouse within 1 to 3 business days.
  • Transit is approximately 2 to 4 weeks on freight-delivered pieces, once the order has shipped.

Before it arrives

  • Your delivery is scheduled with you. The freight carrier calls ahead to book a delivery window. Someone over 18 must be present to receive and sign for the piece.
  • Plan for the weight. Larger tables ship crated on a pallet and can weigh between 200 and 850 pounds, so arrange help and clear the route before the truck arrives.
  • Measure first. The crate is larger than the table on every dimension. Check your doorways, hallways and stairs before you order.

Inspect before the driver leaves

This is the single most important thing you can do on delivery day, and it takes five minutes.

  • Open and inspect the piece while the driver is still with you.
  • Note any damage on the delivery receipt before you sign. A delivery signed for as clean is very difficult to claim on afterwards.
  • Photograph three things: the damage itself, the damage to the crate or packaging, and the delivery receipt or shipping label.
  • Keep all packaging until your inspection is complete.
  • Report damage to us within 48 hours of delivery.

Damaged, defective and incorrect items are replaced or refunded in full. There is no fee and no return freight to pay.

Care

  • Dust with a soft dry cloth. Wipe spills promptly with a barely damp cloth and dry immediately.
  • Avoid abrasive cleaners, ammonia-based products and silicone polishes.
  • Keep out of prolonged direct sunlight and away from heat vents. Timber expands and contracts with changes in humidity.
  • Use mats under hot dishes and coasters under glasses.
  • Variation in tone, grain, knots and distressing is inherent to solid timber and is part of each piece. The table you receive will differ from the photography.

Returns

You may request a return within 30 days of delivery. Once authorized, the piece must be back with us within a further 15 days.

Changed your mind

  • A 15% restocking fee applies, calculated on the item price.
  • Return freight is paid by you, quoted at the time of authorization and deducted from your refund.
  • On a large table shipped by freight, these costs are significant. Please measure carefully before you order.

Damaged, defective or the wrong item

  • No restocking fee and no return freight. We cover it in full.
  • Report damage within 48 hours of delivery, with photographs of the damage, the packaging, and the delivery receipt or shipping label.

Refused deliveries

A refused delivery is treated as a change-of-mind return, so both the 15% restocking fee and return freight apply. If you are unsure a piece will fit through your doorway, hallway or stairwell, check the measurements or contact us before you order. We would much rather help you get it right first time.

A solid wood top in a mid brown, distressed and then finished to a gloss, set on a silver stainless steel four-leg base. The two materials are left to contrast rather than blend: warm worked timber above, cool bright metal below. The gloss is the unusual choice here, since distressed wood is usually left matte, and it gives the marks under the surface a wet depth instead of a dry one.
