Refund policy

Returns & Refunds

We want you to be pleased with your table. If something is not right, here is exactly how it works.

Return window

You may request a return within 30 days of delivery. Email info@tablesandco.com with your order number before the 30 days is up and we will issue a return authorisation along with collection details.

Once authorised, the item must be back with us within a further 15 days.

Items returned without a return authorisation cannot be accepted or refunded.

Condition

Returned items must be unused, undamaged and in their original packaging, in re-sellable condition. Furniture that has been assembled, modified, marked, or repacked in something other than its original carton cannot be returned.

Return costs

Change-of-mind returns carry:

  • A 15% restocking fee, calculated on the item price
  • Return freight, quoted at the time of authorisation and deducted from your refund

These are the terms our fulfilment partner applies to us. We pass them on at cost and do not mark them up.

When nothing is charged

No restocking fee and no return freight applies where:

  • The item arrived damaged and the damage was recorded at delivery, as described below
  • The item has a manufacturing defect reported within 30 days
  • We sent the wrong item

Damage in transit: inspect before you sign

This is the most important step in the whole process. Large tables travel by freight, and a freight claim depends entirely on what is written on the delivery receipt at the moment of handover.

  • Check every carton for crushing, punctures, water marks or opened seams
  • If anything looks wrong, write it on the delivery receipt before you sign, in specific terms. "Carton crushed at corner" is a valid claim. "Subject to inspection" is not
  • Photograph the packaging before you open it, and the item as you unpack it
  • Report any damage to us within 48 hours of delivery

If a delivery is signed for as clean and damage is reported afterwards, the freight carrier will decline the claim and we are unable to offer a replacement or refund. This is not our preference, it is how freight claims work, and it is why the inspection matters.

Warranty

All items carry a 30-day warranty against manufacturing defects from the date of delivery, covering faults in materials or workmanship. It does not cover damage in transit, normal wear, or damage caused by assembly, misuse or moving the piece.

Email info@tablesandco.com with your order number and photographs of the fault.

Refused deliveries

A refused delivery is treated as a change-of-mind return, and both the 15% restocking fee and return freight apply.

If you need to move a delivery date, tell the carrier when they call to schedule. Refusing the truck is the most expensive way to reschedule.

Cancellations

Contact us as soon as possible if you need to cancel. A cancellation request is not the same as a cancellation. If the order has already been picked, palletised or dispatched it cannot be stopped, and cancelling at that stage carries the same 15% restocking fee and return freight as a return.

Refunds

Refunds are issued once the item has been received and inspected at the warehouse, to the original payment method. Allow up to 10 business days after inspection for the refund to appear. If it has been longer than 15 business days, email info@tablesandco.com.

Exchanges

If you need a different piece, return the original and place a new order once the return is approved.

Non-returnable items

  • Custom-made or personalised furniture
  • Clearance and final sale items
  • Items that have been assembled or modified
  • Items without their original packaging
  • Gift cards
