Timing

  • Ships by Sep 29. Orders leave the warehouse within 1 to 3 business days.
  • Transit is approximately 2 to 4 weeks on freight-delivered pieces, once the order has shipped.

Before it arrives

  • Your delivery is scheduled with you. The freight carrier calls ahead to book a delivery window. Someone over 18 must be present to receive and sign for the piece.
  • Plan for the weight. Larger tables ship crated on a pallet and can weigh between 200 and 850 pounds, so arrange help and clear the route before the truck arrives.
  • Measure first. The crate is larger than the table on every dimension. Check your doorways, hallways and stairs before you order.

Inspect before the driver leaves

This is the single most important thing you can do on delivery day, and it takes five minutes.

  • Open and inspect the piece while the driver is still with you.
  • Note any damage on the delivery receipt before you sign. A delivery signed for as clean is very difficult to claim on afterwards.
  • Photograph three things: the damage itself, the damage to the crate or packaging, and the delivery receipt or shipping label.
  • Keep all packaging until your inspection is complete.
  • Report damage to us within 48 hours of delivery.

Damaged, defective and incorrect items are replaced or refunded in full. There is no fee and no return freight to pay.

Care

  • Seal the top on arrival and reseal roughly once a year. Cut stone is porous and will hold a stain if left unsealed.
  • Use coasters under glasses and trivets under anything hot.
  • Wipe spills straight away, particularly wine, citrus, coffee and oil.
  • Clean with a soft damp cloth and a pH-neutral cleaner. Avoid vinegar, bleach and anything abrasive.
  • Stone will chip if struck hard at the edge. Take care with bags and hard objects around the rim.
  • Variation in colour and texture across the surface is inherent to cut stone. No two tops are identical, and the piece you receive will differ from the photography.

Returns

You may request a return within 30 days of delivery. Once authorized, the piece must be back with us within a further 15 days.

Changed your mind

  • A 15% restocking fee applies, calculated on the item price.
  • Return freight is paid by you, quoted at the time of authorization and deducted from your refund.
  • On a large table shipped by freight, these costs are significant. Please measure carefully before you order.

Damaged, defective or the wrong item

  • No restocking fee and no return freight. We cover it in full.
  • Report damage within 48 hours of delivery, with photographs of the damage, the packaging, and the delivery receipt or shipping label.
  • Keep all packaging until your inspection is complete.

Refused deliveries

A refused delivery is treated as a change-of-mind return, so both the 15% restocking fee and return freight apply. If you are unsure a piece will fit through your doorway, hallway or stairwell, check the measurements or contact us before you order. We would much rather help you get it right first time.

A grey ceramic top over glass, set on an iron pedestal, with the same tone carried from the surface down through the base so the piece reads as a single mass. There is no contrast trim and no visible hardware. Ceramic is fired rather than quarried, which makes it harder and more uniform than natural stone, and considerably less prone to staining from wine, oil or citrus.
