Timing

  • Ships by Sep 29. Orders leave the warehouse within 1 to 3 business days.
  • Transit is approximately 2 to 4 weeks on freight-delivered pieces, once the order has shipped.

Before it arrives

  • Your delivery is scheduled with you. The freight carrier calls ahead to book a delivery window. Someone over 18 must be present to receive and sign for the piece.
  • Plan for the weight. Larger tables ship crated on a pallet and can weigh between 200 and 850 pounds, so arrange help and clear the route before the truck arrives.
  • Measure first. The crate is larger than the table on every dimension. Check your doorways, hallways and stairs before you order.

Inspect before the driver leaves

This is the single most important thing you can do on delivery day, and it takes five minutes.

  • Open and inspect the piece while the driver is still with you.
  • Note any damage on the delivery receipt before you sign. A delivery signed for as clean is very difficult to claim on afterwards.
  • Photograph three things: the damage itself, the damage to the crate or packaging, and the delivery receipt or shipping label.
  • Keep all packaging until your inspection is complete.
  • Report damage to us within 48 hours of delivery.

Damaged, defective and incorrect items are replaced or refunded in full. There is no fee and no return freight to pay.

Care

  • Clean the top with a soft cloth and a non-ammonia glass cleaner.
  • Use mats under hot dishes. Do not set hot pans directly on the glass.
  • Avoid knocking the edges, which is where tempered glass is most vulnerable.
  • Dust the timber base with a dry cloth. Wipe the steel with a damp cloth and dry it to avoid water marks.
  • Slight variation in the tone of the timber and the finish of the steel is inherent to the materials.

Returns

You may request a return within 30 days of delivery. Once authorized, the piece must be back with us within a further 15 days.

Changed your mind

  • A 15% restocking fee applies, calculated on the item price.
  • Return freight is paid by you, quoted at the time of authorization and deducted from your refund.
  • On a large table shipped by freight, these costs are significant. Please measure carefully before you order.

Damaged, defective or the wrong item

  • No restocking fee and no return freight. We cover it in full.
  • Report damage within 48 hours of delivery, with photographs of the damage, the packaging, and the delivery receipt or shipping label.

Refused deliveries

A refused delivery is treated as a change-of-mind return, so both the 15% restocking fee and return freight apply. If you are unsure a piece will fit through your doorway, hallway or stairwell, check the measurements or contact us before you order. We would much rather help you get it right first time.

A clear glass top over a trestle base built from steel, so the structure is the thing you actually see. The steel is finished in silver, giving the frame a hard edge against a surface that has none. Glass keeps the whole piece visually light despite an 80-inch span, which is the point of specifying it in the first place.

This suits a room that is already full, or one with a floor worth looking at, since a transparent top does not read as a solid block in the middle of the space. Six chairs fit comfortably along its length. Glass shows fingerprints and dust more readily than stone or wood, so expect to wipe it more often than you would a timber top, and use mats under anything hot. It ships by freight in one 183 pound carton and requires full assembly.
